Kickass, the doorstop dog, having his own bodily functions well in cast iron hand, views with some concern the extreme cold weather issue for dogs that are conditioned to go outside to do their business.
This came to his attention recently when Boo, a small black Schnauzer type that the keeper shares with his son Mike, set what was first thought to be a time record for outside business. Boo disappeared around the 30 below wind-chill corner of the house and reappeared at the front door in less time than it would take to tree a cat.
She accepted praise for her speediness, and then–it was discovered later, she apparently sneaked down and crapped under the basement stairs. An investigation ensues, and Kickass would be interested in hearing of other dogs setting any outside records.
